How the defibrillator works – Battlefield 6
The defibrillator has been a staple in the Battlefield franchise for years now. Support players have been paddling their allies back to life for a long time, but now Battlefield 6 has a few new things to consider. For starters, there’s now a stimulant pen and a drag-revive system. These have resulted in the need to know how the defibrillators work and whether to use them over normal revives. How the defibrillator works The defibrillator in Battlefield 6 is the Support class revive tool. (It is only available for the Support class in the BF6 multiplayer but any class can use it in REDSEC.) All other classes must walk up to a downed squad member and press the button to begin a length revive animation the defibrillator shortcuts this process. Here are some quick notes about the defibs so you can get that Support Class Assignment done faster: Only on the Support class Quick charges revives an ally to half health Full charge revives an ally to full health Can be used on all friendly players not just your squad Deals damage to enemies The defib has two activation modes: a quick tap will perform a quick revive and holding activate will fully charge the paddles, allowing you to completely heal a downed ally. Hold the action, wait for the beep, and then release! You can also use it on anyone on your team. Those not playing Support can only revive someone in their squd. As for why you would use the defib instead of drag-reviving a player is that it is much faster. You can very quickly revive a whole platoon of downed allies. However, drag-reviving still has its place. If an ally is downed in the open, using the paddles on them could result in them being shot immediately, wasting a ticket. In this instance, it can be better to drag them behind cover. Another tidbit is that the Support has a faster drag-revive timer than other players. So even though defib is the fastest, you can still be pretty zippy with that stimulant.
