Weapon stats explained – Battlefield 6
Every Weapon Stat in Battlefield 6 Is Important
To customize a weapon to your preferred playstyle in Battlefield 6, you need to understand how each stat affects your gun’s handling. Misunderstand the stats, and you’ll suffer the consequences during combat. Master them, and you’ll tear through foes while receiving enviable messages in all-chat.
Battlefield 6 Weapon Stats Explained
There are nine weapon stats in Battlefield 6 that dictate how your weapons handle. To better customize your loadout, it’s essential to know what these stats do and which attachments influence them.
Stat | What It Affects | Attachments (Positive Effect) |
---|---|---|
Hipfire | The reticle bloom speed when firing full-auto from the hip. A better stat keeps the reticle tighter for longer. | Laser and Flashlight for the Right/Left Accessory, some barrels. |
Precision | The grouping of the bullet pattern and the accuracy of your shots. The higher the stat, the tighter the pattern. | Brake Muzzles, Converter Muzzle, Underbarrel Grips, etc. |
Control | The movement of the reticle after firing. A better stat makes it easier to adjust for recoil, especially when firing full-auto. | Brake Muzzles, Underbarrel Grips, etc. |
Mobility | Your movement speed with the weapon equipped, including firing while hipfire or ADS. A higher stat means faster movement. | Blue Laser, Ribbed Stubby Underbarrel, Smaller Magazines, etc. |
Fire Modes | The ability to switch between fully automatic, burst, and single-shot firing. Not all guns have multiple modes. | N/A |
Reload Time | The time between initiating a reload and being able to fire again. Lower is better for faster reloads. | Mag Catch, Smaller Magazines, etc. |
Muzzle Velocity | The speed of your bullet. Slower bullets take longer to hit but deal more damage, and vice versa. | Extended Barrel |
ADS Time In | How long it takes to bring the scope up after pressing the aim button. Lower is faster. | Stubby Grips |
Headshot Multiplier | The damage multiplier for headshots. Multiply body shot damage by this number to get headshot damage. | Hollow Point & Synthetic Ammunition |
The first four stats—Hipfire, Precision, Control, and Mobility—are the main ones you’ll likely focus on when selecting attachments.
Which Stats to Prioritize
Weapon customization in Battlefield 6 is inherently personal, but here are some tips when choosing attachments:
Hipfire:
Primarily needed for SMGs and Shotguns. It often goes hand-in-hand with Mobility. Precision and Control can also benefit hipfire accuracy.
Precision:
Closely linked with Control, as affecting one often impacts the other. High rate-of-fire weapons like Assault Rifles (ARs), SMGs, and Light Machine Guns (LMGs) benefit greatly from improved precision, tightening your bullet grouping towards the center of your reticle.
Control:
Important for weapons with high recoil or fast firing rates. A better Control stat means less effort is required to keep your reticle steady on target. Without it, you’ll need to compensate more with your mouse or stick.
Mobility:
Ideal for run-and-gun builds, especially with SMGs and Shotguns if you move frequently during combat. While less essential for ARs, it can still help with strafing.
The other five stats are still relevant but usually less of a priority:
– Fire Modes: You can switch between available firing modes in-game (e.g., pressing the B key on PC), but you can’t choose which weapons have multiple modes.
– Reload Time: Mostly influenced by class effects, Mag Catch, and smaller magazines. Investing heavily here is generally less worthwhile.
– Muzzle Velocity, ADS Time In, and Headshot Multiplier: These stats become more important depending on your playstyle.
– Muzzle Velocity helps snipers land long-range shots accurately.
– ADS Time In benefits players who prefer aiming down sights quickly rather than hipfiring.
– Headshot Multiplier reduces time-to-kill when you can consistently land headshots, giving you a vital edge in combat.
Mastering these weapon stats will help you tailor Battlefield 6 guns perfectly to your style and improve your performance on the battlefield.
