第5期白玲戦7番勝負の第5局が11日、札幌市で行われました。先手の西山朋佳白玲（30）は127手で挑戦者の福間香奈女流六冠（33）を破り、対戦成績を3勝2敗としました。これにより、西山は防衛に王手をかけています。
次の第6局は18日に予定されています。
