The 17th-seeded Sandy Pioneers (7-4) face the No. 18 South Medford Panthers (7-4) in the 6A Oregon high school football Columbia Cup final Friday night at Cottage Grove High School. Coach Bill Singler’s Panthers reached the Columbia Cup final by rolling past Oregon City for a 38-7 victory in the first round and edging Clackamas for a 24-22 win last week. They have won six in a row. South Medford has three offensive linemen who made the all-South-Central Football Conference first team: center Jedi Robertson, guard Isa De La Torre and tackle Levi Pacheco. The Pioneers, coached by Josh Dill, beat Lincoln 14-0 in their Columbia Cup opener before taking down Beaverton for a 36-20 victory last week. Colton Lucas was the Lineman of the Year in the Mt. Hood Conference, and running back Caden McMahon and utility weapon James Richards were among their other all-conference first-team selections. Sandy or South Medford?
