**What’s the Story?**
Two employees from director Vikram Bhatt’s production house, VSB Production LLP, have been accused of misusing and selling company hard disks containing raw movie footage, according to a report by Free Press Journal. The accused, Jitendra Sharma and Rakesh Pranigrahi, allegedly sold up to 10 hard disks for ₹5,000–6,000 each under Pranigrahi’s orders. A complaint was filed by production manager Nasir Khan on October 10.
**Investigation Update**
Since the discovery of the sales in September 2025, both Sharma and Pranigrahi have not reported to work and have failed to return company-issued mobile phones. Police are actively searching for the two and attempting to recover the stolen material as Vikram Bhatt and his team grapple with this serious breach of trust.
A case has been registered against Sharma and Pranigrahi under Sections 316 (4) (criminal breach of trust) and 3 (5) (general explanation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
**Discovery Details**
The missing hard disks were first noticed by Vikram Bhatt and his wife, Shwetambri Bhatt, in March 2025. Bhatt suspected Pranigrahi, who manages company accounts, and instructed Nasir Khan to monitor office operations. Subsequent investigations revealed that Sharma had possession of the missing disks.
While staff members had previously accessed the disks with Pranigrahi’s approval, Sharma recently began providing excuses to withhold them from the office.
**Confession Details**
On September 13, executive assistant Mohit Kumar questioned Sharma, who reportedly confessed to selling the disks to a person named Ashok Krush on Pranigrahi’s orders. Each disk was sold for approximately ₹5,000–6,000, with half of the proceeds going to Pranigrahi. Following this, Sharma stopped reporting to work and switched off his phone. Pranigrahi also ceased attending the office and failed to return the company-owned mobile devices.
**About Vikram Bhatt**

He is best known for directing the *Raaz* film series, a popular horror franchise produced by Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt.
