The event took place at Balnoi Ground near the LoC in the Mendhar sector of Poonch district.
A video capturing residents of the border village enthusiastically watching the match on a big screen quickly went viral on social media. Netizens praised the initiative, describing it as a symbolic and touching reminder that sports can bring people together beyond conflict and political tensions.

### Team India Wins the Championship
On the field, Tilak Varma’s unbeaten 69 runs guided India to a thrilling five-wicket victory against Pakistan, securing their second T20 Asia Cup title. Chasing a target of 147, India crossed the finish line with two balls to spare, thanks to a crucial 60-run partnership between Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube, who scored 33 runs off 22 balls.
Earlier in the match, Pakistan’s openers Sahibzada Farhan (57) and Fakhar Zaman (46) gave the team a strong start. However, a middle-order collapse saw Pakistan bowled out for 146 runs.
