UST opens UAAP Season 88 with Olympic-inspired spectacle
MANILA, Philippines — The University of Santo Tomas (UST) kicked off UAAP Season 88 with a grand celebration held across its España campus on Friday. The event attracted a remarkable attendance of 36,629 people, who gathered to witness an Olympic-style opening ceremony.
The Thomasian community hosted the kickoff at the iconic Main Building and Open Field, marking the university’s first time hosting the UAAP season since Season 79 in 2016.
This year’s event embraced the theme “Strength,” setting an inspiring tone for the season ahead.
