Trump Administration Accused of ‘Propaganda’ for Shifting Story in Shooting of U.S. Citizen During ICE Protests
Chicago residents are actively protesting across the city, including regular demonstrations outside an ICE facility in the suburb of Broadview.
According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), more than 1,000 arrests have been made across Illinois as part of Operation Midway Blitz. This operation has involved detaining and arresting individuals through “military-style raids.”
Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker has criticized these tactics, stating they “should never be used on children in a functioning democracy.”
