Tats Suzara, PNVF under fire over ‘censorship’ issue
Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon “Tats” Suzara came under fire on Wednesday, following recent controversies involving media organizations covering the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship.
The tension arose just a day after the credentials of one media organization were revoked by the event’s organizers. Additionally, another media company faced threats of similar sanctions, sparking concerns over press freedom and transparency.
Senator Erwin Tulfo was among the prominent figures who criticized Suzara for these actions, highlighting the need for fair treatment of the media during major sporting events. The situation has drawn attention from various sectors, raising important questions about the relationship between sports officials and the press.
