Certainly, Love was able to make some quick pitch and catch completions to keep drives alive, but the Packers did not have to attack downfield with medium- and long-range passes that would have put the ball at risk. McCarthy is simply not up to solid NFL competition at this point. The Vikings tried to attack with their running game.
