Rockstar topples $100,000 GTA 5 server “for no reason” according to creator who also denies any copyright infringement: “We have NOTHING TO DO with Harry Potter”
Rockstar has apparently banned gamer and gambler TeufeurSoff’s GTA 5 wizard roleplay server, and the gaming personality is distraught. He also won’t stop talking about Harry Potter. TeufeurSoff, who goes by Teuf, seems to think the SevenWands server was removed for its apparent similarity to that other wizarding world even though a FiveM modder who says they’ve checked “with the staff” suspects the ban instead has to do with the mod framework. GamesRadar+ has reached out to Rockstar for comment. Teuf, too, is reaching out, but he seems to be grabbing fistfuls of air. He addresses Rockstar and the FiveM framework directly in a nervous post on Twitter, telling them, “You banned my SevenWands server for no reason, or for the wrong reasons. Please know that I paid a team of developers and mappers for 13 months to create my own magical universe. I created a lore, I created spells, I created factions, all from my own imagination and that of my team,” Teuf says, claiming to have spent more than $100,000 on creating SevenWands, which he maintains has already accrued 10, 000 total players. “We have NOTHING TO DO with Harry Potter,” he reminds the air. “Obviously, as fans of the franchise, we were inspired by it, and I can’t hide my love for it. But out of respect for your rules, I decided to create my own magical world, with absolutely everything made from scratch. We do everything for the community,” Teuf concludes, “and we hope you will quickly resolve this issue, which is undeserved.”.
