Prince Andrew and Elon Musk latest names to surface in Epstein files
Britain’s Prince Andrew has resurfaced in newly released documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein, appearing as a passenger on the paedophile financier’s private jet. The files also make a reference to X owner Elon Musk potentially visiting Epstein’s infamous private island.
The documents, released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee in the US, list Prince Andrew as a passenger on a flight from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Palm Beach, Florida. On this flight, dated May 12, 2000, Andrew is named alongside Epstein, his then-girlfriend and now convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, and two other individuals whose names have been redacted.
Details of Prince Andrew’s presence on Epstein’s jet have previously emerged in court proceedings during Maxwell’s trial. One of Maxwell’s accusers, who was 14 years old at the time, recalled travelling on a flight with Andrew. The Prince has consistently and strenuously denied any wrongdoing in relation to these allegations.
Elon Musk’s name also appears in the documents, listed as a potential visitor to Epstein’s private island, Little St. James, on December 6, 2014—six years after Epstein was registered as a sex offender. Musk’s name is included on what appears to be Epstein’s daily schedule, with an entry reading: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?).”
In June, Musk suggested that then-President Donald Trump should be impeached, claiming the administration was hiding information about Trump’s association with Epstein. Musk later appeared to delete posts referencing the disgraced financier.
These revelations come shortly after an email from Sarah, Duchess of York, to Epstein surfaced. In this email, the Duchess apologised to Epstein for publicly disowning him and referred to him as a “supreme friend.” Her spokesman explained the message was written after Epstein threatened to sue her for defamation. Following the release of the email, the Duchess was dropped by several charities she had patronized.
Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his cell at a federal jail in Manhattan in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges. His death was officially ruled a suicide.
