A man was seriously injured in a shooting that occurred Thursday night in west Phoenix. According to police, the victim was found near the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road with a single gunshot wound.

He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The area surrounding the intersection, which is home to various businesses, has been temporarily closed as detectives continue their investigation into the incident.

As of now, no suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
