US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s plane made an unscheduled landing in the UK after a crack was discovered in the aircraft’s windshield. Fortunately, Secretary Hegseth is reported to be safe.
Secretary Hegseth was traveling after attending a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, which followed a NATO Defense Ministers meeting at the Alliance headquarters in Brussels, Belgium on October 15, 2025.
