NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tyler Nickel led Vanderbilt with 20 points, while Tyler Tanner added 18 in a dominant 105-61 victory over Lipscomb in the season opener for both teams.
Vanderbilt set the tone early, opening the game on a 12-0 run and carrying a commanding 56-26 lead into halftime. The Commodores showcased a balanced attack, with five different players reaching double-digit scoring totals.
The impressive performance highlighted Vanderbilt’s strong start to the season, demonstrating depth and scoring versatility against Lipscomb.
