**Mumbai Police Detain Nine Foreign Women for Overstaying Visas at Marol Hotel**
The Powai police have detained nine foreign women for allegedly concealing their identities and residing in India with expired visas. All of the detained individuals are from Uganda and Kenya.
**Raid at Hotel Dream Inn**
On October 1, the police conducted a raid at Hotel Dream Inn located in Marol, Andheri East, and apprehended the foreign nationals. Authorities are currently preparing documents to facilitate their deportation to their respective countries.
**Hotel Ownership and Violations**
Hotel Dream Inn is owned by Vinod Bacchav, 47, and managed by Mahesh Bhujbalrao, 54. According to the Powai police, the hotel had been renting rooms to female nationals from Uganda, Kenya, and Vietnam.
The police received information that nine foreign nationals were residing in India despite having expired visas. Additionally, it was discovered that details of six other foreign nationals were not recorded in the mandatory ‘C’ Form submitted to the police, which is a violation of protocol.
**Identities of the Detained Women**
The nine detained women have been identified as:
– Mukhi Wairrimu, 36
– Luan Thitinh, 36
– Naukwatsa Rose, 20
– Katusiime Amina, 27
– Nguyenthihuyen Trang, 32
– Shillah Murgisha Nasasira, 31
– Magura Vanjiko, 28
– Vaguko Vanjiro, 33
– Mesdich Chepkoria, 27
The police are in the process of completing the necessary documentation to deport them back to their home countries.
**Legal Action Against Hotel Management**
A case has been registered against the hotel owner and manager for their role in the violation. The operation was overseen by Jitendra Sonavane, Senior Police Inspector, Powai Police, and guided by Datta Nalawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 10.
