T-Mobile has announced a significant leadership change with the appointment of Srini Gopalan, the company’s current Chief Operating Officer (COO), as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Gopalan will officially take over the role on November 1, succeeding Mike Sievert, who has been at the helm since April 2020 and will transition to a vice chairman position.
**Srini Gopalan’s Journey at T-Mobile**

His extensive career also includes senior leadership roles at Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, and Capital One. Across these roles, he has been known for driving operational excellence, spearheading digital transformation initiatives, and implementing consumer-focused strategies.
**Academic Credentials and Early Career**
Born in India, Srini Gopalan pursued business administration studies at St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi, before earning his MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. He is widely recognized for his deep operational expertise and visionary approach to business transformation.
