Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won significant orders worth up to ₹10,000 crore in India, strengthening its foothold in the construction and infrastructure sector. The company’s Buildings and Factories vertical will be responsible for delivering two major projects: one of the largest proposed IT parks in Bengaluru and a mixed-use development in Mumbai.
**Bengaluru IT Park: A Massive Two-Phase Development**
The Bengaluru project, commissioned by a leading multinational corporation, spans a vast development potential of 5.9 million square feet. It will be executed on a lump-sum turnkey basis and delivered in two phases.
This IT park will feature office spaces developed on a warm shell basis, targeting the USGBC New Building Platinum rating under the LEED certification for sustainability. The scope of work includes the construction of six towers, along with comprehensive civil structure work, unitized façade glazing, architectural lighting, finishes, and electromechanical services.
**Mumbai Mixed-Use Development: Completion in 45 Months**
In Mumbai, L&T is set to construct a mixed-use development project for a reputed developer. This project is expected to be completed within 45 months, further showcasing the company’s ability to handle large-scale, complex developments.
**Market Response**
These latest order wins come shortly after L&T’s shares were downgraded by BofA Securities from “buy” to “underperform.” Despite the downgrade, L&T shares were trading at ₹3,742.90 apiece at the time of reporting, marking a 9.44% gain over the past six months.
With these strategic wins, L&T continues to demonstrate its robust project execution capabilities and leadership in India’s infrastructure domain.
