Team Nepal made history by defeating the West Indies by a massive 90-run margin in the second T20I match. This victory marks Nepal’s first-ever series win against a full-member nation in the shortest format of the game. The match, held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, saw the West Indies bowled out for a mere 83 runs while chasing a target of 174.
On this note, let’s take a look at the lowest T20I totals recorded by full-member teams against Associate nations.
### #1 | 83/10 – West Indies vs Nepal, 2025
West Indies’ total of 83 all out against Nepal now tops the list of lowest T20I totals by full-member teams against Associate nations, as per statistician Kaustubh Gudipati.
Chasing 174, the West Indies had a poor start with Jewel Andrew dismissed early. They struggled throughout their innings and were eventually bowled out in just 17.1 overs. Jason Holder was the only batter to score over 20 runs, making 21.
Nepal’s bowlers Mohammad Aadil Alam (4/24) and Kushal Bhurtel (3/16) were the standout performers, sharing seven wickets between them.
### #2 | 88/10 – England vs Netherlands, 2014
England previously held the unenviable record when they were bowled out for just 88 runs against the Netherlands during the 2014 ICC T20 World Cup in Chattogram.
Chasing 134, England’s innings never took off as wickets fell in quick succession. Ravi Bopara was the only batter to score in double figures with 18 runs. Dutch bowlers Mudassar Bukhari and Logan van Beek each took three wickets as England were dismissed within 17.4 overs.
### #3 | 93/10 – Zimbabwe vs Namibia, 2023
Namibia’s bowlers delivered a clinical performance to help defend a modest total of 101 against Zimbabwe in the 2023 Windhoek T20I.
Zimbabwe’s top order struggled significantly, with four of their top five batters failing to reach double digits. Nick Welch (23) and Luke Jongwe (24) were the only players to score 20-plus runs. Bernard Scholtz and JJ Smit each claimed three wickets as Zimbabwe’s innings ended in 19.2 overs.
