Jeff Ross’ next roast target is his home state — get ready, New Jersey
Ready to Set Jersey Ablaze: Jeff Ross Returns Home
Comedian Jeff Ross, once known for entertaining sheikhs in the Middle East, is back—and he’s turning his sharp wit on his hometown state of New Jersey. His latest show, *The Roast of New Jersey*, promises to deliver plenty of laughs, especially in the wake of the recent jailing of the state’s gold-loving Senator Menendez.
The show is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, at Meridian Health Theatre in Red Bank. Fans can expect a mix of humor that might just have you laughing while clutching a colostomy bag. Adding to the excitement, former NFL player and current WFAN radio host Tiki Barber will also be part of the lineup. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, but be warned: attending the roast may take a toll!
Party Etiquette: Call-Out Cards from Ellen Easton
Ellen Easton, an expert on food, recipes, and tea manners, recently shared some helpful tips and menus perfect for the holiday season. Her etiquette protocols are worth noting:
– Always RSVP, even if you won’t be attending.
– Decline invitations politely, preferably in writing, via email, or text.
– Inform your host about any allergies ahead of time.
– Never ask to bring an uninvited guest, children, pests, or your divorce lawyer.
– Send a thank-you note after the event.
In a humorous follow-up, Easton admitted she spotted a typo in her Christmas card — it read “bight” instead of “bright.” Hey, Ellie, mazel tov on keeping us entertained both in and out of the kitchen!
Trawling for Gifts? Try Crabs!
Looking for a unique gift idea this season? Baltimore actor Dave DeBoy has just the thing. He’s authored a book titled *I Gave Baltimore Crabs (for Christmas)* — a quirky and heartfelt gift that’s been passed around among friends including John Waters, Barry Levinson, Natalie Portman, Renée Zellweger, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
With everyone seemingly writing a book these days (even Kamala Harris is learning to read one), DeBoy’s gift stands out. We’re already hoping for a sequel — maybe *Snails for Snowstorms*?
Hollywood’s *Love* Actually: Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson in ‘Die My Love’
Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson are turning heads with their latest film, *Die My Love*. The actors crawl on all fours and appear frequently nude as they explore the challenges of childbirth — a subject that doesn’t exactly bring them joy.
Jennifer Lawrence explained, “Anybody who’s been through postpartum depression should see this. Especially if you have a husband character like Robert. That makes it a cautionary tale.”
Flights of Fancy: A Nostalgic Look at Pan Am’s Clipper Service
A recent discovery unearthed memories of Pan Am’s iconic Clipper Service from Thanksgiving 1960. While neither the plane nor the menu remain, the lavish experience is worth reminiscing about.
Passengers enjoyed vodka or champagne alongside hors d’oeuvres washed down with wine. The main course options included roast filet of beef, sweetbreads, veal steak with tarragon sauce, and stuffed squab, accompanied by crates of vegetables and tubs of desserts. It’s hard to imagine how there was room left for passengers!
Today, sitting three-across on a modern flight over Montana, we can only imagine the last traveler aboard that legendary plane is still waiting for his sautéed onions.
