What Are the Chances America Will Resist Islam, or Will Young Americans Convert as Values Shift?

An interesting comparison comes from the fact that radical Islam did not take hold in Japan, a country that deeply values its own identity and traditions. This raises the question: can America maintain its cultural identity, or are we risking a similar fate by becoming dangerously apathetic about who we are?
Some fear that the United States could transform into a place reminiscent of the Islamic Republic of Iran, where radicalism has deeply affected society.
