Indonesia to Recognize Israel if Palestinian State Is Recognized
Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority country, currently has no diplomatic relations with Israel. However, this stance may change contingent upon the recognition of a Palestinian state.
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto addressed the 80th United Nations General Assembly at the UN headquarters in New York, USA, on September 23, 2025. During his speech, he indicated that Indonesia would consider establishing diplomatic relations with Israel if there is official recognition of Palestinian sovereignty.
