The second edition of the Indian Streaming Academy Awards was held on Saturday night at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. This prestigious event celebrated the burgeoning OTT ecosystem in India by recognizing excellence in storytelling, performances, sound design, editing, and cinematography.
**Major Winners: ‘Panchayat’ and ‘Maharaj’ Shine Bright**
In the Hindi category, *Panchayat* took home the award for Best Series, while *Poacher* was honored with the same accolade in the Non-Hindi category. Director Jai Mehta won Best Director for his work on *Aarya*, and Saanvika received the Best Supporting Actress (Series) award for her role in *Panchayat*.
**Honoring Excellence in Web Films and Technical Categories**
*Amar Singh Chamkila* was recognized as the Best Web Original Film in the Hindi language category. Its technical brilliance was further acknowledged with Sylvester Fonseca winning Best Cinematographer (Film) for the project. In the Non-Hindi category, *Chaalchitra Ekhon* was awarded Best Web Original Film, with Anjan Dutt receiving Best Director (Film) honors.
The documentary *Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous* also garnered accolades, reflecting the diverse range of content celebrated at the awards.
Johan Heurlin Aidt won Best Cinematographer (Series) for his work on *Poacher*, further cementing the show’s technical success.
**Technical Triumphs and Creative Storytelling**
*Panchayat* continued its winning streak by earning Best Original Story (Series) with Chandan Kumar as the writer. *Heeramandi* secured the award for Best Production Design (Series).
Music also took center stage, with AR Rahman winning Best Original Soundtrack (Film) for *Amar Singh Chamkila*, while Ana Rehman was honored with the same award for *Bandish Bandits*.
In the non-Hindi categories, the Best Non-fiction Original Series/Special award was claimed by *Telugu Indian Idol*. Additionally, Roshan Mathew of *Poacher* was recognized as Best Actor Popular (Series), highlighting outstanding performances across the board.
