Ibrahim Zadran delivered a superb batting performance, scoring 95 runs in Afghanistan’s third and final ODI against Bangladesh on Tuesday. The talented opener was well on his way to a century but was unfortunately run out in the 37th over when Afghanistan’s score was 186/4.
Zadran laid a solid foundation for his team, sharing a 99-run opening partnership with Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Gurbaz contributed 42 runs before falling on the last ball of the 16th over. Following his dismissal, Zadran continued to anchor the innings alongside Sediqullah Atal, adding another valuable 74 runs.
However, Afghanistan’s momentum hit a snag as both Atal (29) and Zadran were dismissed in quick succession. Zadran’s run out came during a quick single attempt, halting his impressive knock just short of a century.
