How to unlock new weapons – Hades 2

Hades 2 begins with players using the Witch’s Staff, but before long, you’ll want to explore other options. The good news is that there are several weapons to unlock, each featuring a unique attack pattern along with its own strengths and weaknesses.

This all takes place in the preparation area, located before you head out into Erebus. To find the prep area, head to the lower-right of the hub area, past the Cauldron and various NPCs. At the center of this space is the Silver Pool—a circular feature surrounded by several smaller circles.

Interact with the central circle to open the menu where you can browse different Nocturnal Arms and Gathering Tools. Each weapon has a different purchase price, with the early ones costing Silver to unlock. As you progress through the game and purchase new weapons, additional options will be added to the portal.

This location also serves several other important functions. It’s where you will unlock and equip Arcana Cards, collect and upgrade Keepsakes, and eventually improve your weapons through Aspect upgrades.

Since you’ll pass through the prep area every time you head out on a run, it’s a good idea to take a moment to ensure your build is exactly how you want it before diving back into the action.
