How to complete With A Trace – ARC Raiders
With A Trace Quest Guide
With A Trace is one of the many quests you will receive from Shani in Security. She asks you to investigate a downed machine and determine who is responsible. This quest takes place entirely on The Blue Gate map and involves four main steps.
Quest Objectives:
- Reach the Barren Clearing
- Find signs of who brought down the ARC machines
- Inspect the Adorned Wreckage
- Inspect the communications device
Upon completing With A Trace, you will be rewarded with a Looting Mk. 2 Augment and a Medium Shield.
Step 1: Reach the Barren Clearing
The Barren Clearing is located on the northwest side of The Blue Gate, just to the left of Raider’s Refuge. This area is notable for being devoid of trees and littered with giant ARC machines, making it easy to spot.
Step 2: Find Signs of Who Brought Down the ARC Machines
Once you arrive at the Barren Clearing, head towards the southwest side of the area and look towards the main wreck. You are searching for a ball resting against one of the legs of a machine. When you spot it, a yellow Investigate prompt will appear.
Interact with the round joint to search it. This action will trigger the next step of the quest.
Step 3: Inspect the Adorned Wreckage
Next, you must find the Adorned Wreckage, located south of the Barren Clearing within The Blue Gate map. Look for a large wreckage site covered in cables and satellite dishes, which makes it distinctive from other wrecks.
Step 4: Inspect the Communications Device
At the Adorned Wreckage, search the south side of the area for a computer terminal. To complete the final step, turn on the yellow computer. This will finalize the quest With A Trace.
