Gina Carano Signs Up For Vegas Crime Series ‘Logan Reign’; Teaming With ‘Get Out’ Producers For First TV Project Since ‘Mandalorian’
**EXCLUSIVE: Gina Carano to Star in New Vegas-Based Vigilante Series “Logan Reign”**
Six weeks after The Mandalorian star Gina Carano saw her discrimination lawsuit against Disney and Kathleen Kennedy-run Lucasfilm settled in her favor, the Sin City-raised actress is gearing up to hit the streets of Las Vegas once again—this time as a vigilante.
Carano, who was famously fired from the Star Wars series in 2021, is stepping into the shoes of Logan Reign, a character she’s long been eager to portray.
“Logan Reign is someone I have been craving to bring to life,” Carano told Deadline. “I’m bringing every ounce of who I am as an actress and what I have learned in this industry to this role, and at this moment, I have a lot to give.”
The actress, known for playing Marshal Cara Dune for two seasons on *The Mandalorian*, expressed excitement about returning to Las Vegas—a city she describes as “its own fantastic character.”
“Las Vegas being the place I grew up is going to be exhilarating, and I’ll feel very much at home filming there. Lights, camera, action, art, grit—Vegas has it all. I’m giddy at the possibilities,” she added.
Developed by Shaun Redick and Yvette Yates Redick of Impossible Dream Entertainment—producers behind *Get Out* and *BlacKKKlansman*—*Logan Reign* follows Carano as a legal assistant by day and a crime fighter by night in Las Vegas.
The Redicks have teamed up with Straightwire Entertainment Group’s Rob Weston, who is not only producing but also Carano’s manager and a former MMA fighter.
“*Logan Reign* is the kind of bold, adrenaline-driven series we can’t wait to bring to audiences with Gina, and it’s destined to become her most iconic character yet,” said the Redicks. Weston added, “From the very start, we knew Gina was Logan Reign. She has the intensity and heart to make this a visceral and thrilling ride audiences won’t forget.”
While Carano has been working on various projects backed by The Daily Wire and Breitbart News and simultaneously fighting Disney in her Elon Musk-backed lawsuit, she also appears poised to make a return to the House of Mouse—whether in a galaxy far, far away or elsewhere.
Though many details of the summer settlement with the Bob Iger-led media giant remain confidential, one notable victory for Carano reportedly includes a form of reinstatement.
With the lawsuit now dismissed, Disney commented on August 7, “We look forward to identifying opportunities to work together with Ms. Carano in the near future.”
Perhaps that’s why they call it the Happiest Place on Earth.
