Father of Stockton child killed in birthday shooting shares his anguish, as vice mayor calls for reform
**Authorities Seek Multiple Suspects in Stockton Mass Shooting at 2-Year-Old’s Birthday Party**
*By Jonathan Ayestas | December 9, 2025 | STOCKTON, Calif.*
Officials confirmed Tuesday that they are seeking multiple individuals in connection with a mass shooting in Stockton that left four people dead and 13 more injured during a 2-year-old’s birthday celebration.
The tragic event occurred on November 29 and has sparked conversations about community safety and violence prevention. Lee, who shared his personal experience of being shot at age 15 and losing his brother to a gang-related shooting, emphasized the urgent need for the region to do more to prevent similar tragedies from happening again.
He commented on the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the party, suggesting that inviting a rapper known for gangster rap performances, along with convicted gang members, to a two-year-old’s birthday was ill-advised.
This heartbreaking incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by communities affected by gun violence.
