Erik Spoelstra named USA Basketball coach through 2028
Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra was named head coach of the US men’s basketball team through the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics on Tuesday by USA Basketball.
American teams composed of NBA stars have dominated recent international competitions, winning the past five Olympic gold medals. This success has contributed to the US men’s team securing a total of 17 Olympic titles.
In addition to their Olympic achievements, the US men’s team has also claimed five FIBA World Cup championships, underscoring their longstanding excellence on the global stage.
