By Jeffra Wise DeViney
As the Rotary Club of DeQuincy prepares for their 5th Annual Project Care de Noel, we need your help! This year, the Rotary Club aims to provide 200 gift bags to local nursing home residents for Christmas, and we are seeking donations from the public to make this possible.
Our wish list includes the following items:
– Body soaps and wrapped soaps
– Books (large print)
– Pens and pencils
– Scarves, hats, and gloves
– No-slip socks
– Coloring books and coloring supplies
– Puzzle books
– Christmas window clings and unbreakable decorations
– Pocket Kleenex
– Combs
– Fruit of the Loom colored T-shirts and sweatshirts
– New stuffed animals
– Monetary donations
Please note, we kindly ask that no candy or medical items be donated.
Items can be dropped off at DeQuincy News no later than Thursday, December 11. If you would like to pledge your support or have any questions, please contact Jeffra Wise DeViney at 337-912-5063 or Crystal Nix at 337-485-1583.
Thank you to everyone who contributes to this wonderful project that truly warms the hearts of these beautiful souls!
