The Consumer Awareness Survey, conducted in Mumbai with 819 participants in collaboration with NCRD’s Sterling College of Arts, Commerce & Science and Kohinoor Management School, highlighted that 53% of senior citizens avoid digital banking altogether.

Officials said the shortage of designated parking spaces near market areas and metro stations had forced motorists to park vehicles haphazardly on both sides of the road. After repeated complaints from residents and site inspections, the new rules have been enforced under Sections 115, 116(1)(4), and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

The victim, Ganga Ram, who ran a small tea stall to support his family, died instantly after Constable Khimesh allegedly pressed the accelerator “by mistake”. The van mounted a roadside ramp and crushed Ganga Ram. Locals said he has around four to five daughters, and the family depended entirely on the tea stall for survival.

The Clovis Police Department has introduced drones as first responders to enhance response times and assist in de-escalation during incidents, with two drones now in service.
