The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is expected to leave interest rates unchanged this week, pausing after three consecutive cuts.
Officials are awaiting clearer signals on the state of the economy and are closely monitoring the peso’s recent slide before making further decisions.
According to a survey conducted by the Inquirer last week, ten out of sixteen economists projected that the Monetary Board (MB) will maintain the current interest rates.
