Brett Goldstein & Imogen Poots Talk Sci-Fi Movie All of You and … Waluigi | Interview
**Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots Talk ‘All of You,’ Their New Sci-Fi Romance on Apple TV+**
All of You, a new sci-fi romance movie starring Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots, is set to stream on Apple TV+ starting September 26, 2025. Goldstein co-wrote the film with director William Bridges. In a recent interview with ComingSoon, Goldstein and Poots discussed their on-screen chemistry, building upon the themes explored in the TV show *Soulmates*, and even shared a fun tidbit about a small Mario Kart scene featuring Waluigi.

**Plot Overview**
Best friends since college, Simon (Emmy Award winner Brett Goldstein) and Laura (Imogen Poots) begin to drift apart after Laura takes a test that reveals her soulmate—despite years of unspoken feelings between them. Over the years, their paths cross and diverge, but neither can deny the sense that they’ve missed out on a life together. Faced with the uncertainty of changing the course of their lives, the question remains: are Simon and Laura willing to risk everything to experience the love that was always between them, or should they accept their fate?

**Interview Highlights**
**Tyler Treese:** Such a pleasure to speak with you both. I really enjoyed *All of You*. Brett, this has a very similar premise to your TV show, *Soulmates*, which you also did with Will Bridges. What’s the biggest advantage of being able to do a full feature film on this idea and really flesh out two characters?
**Brett Goldstein:** Well, it’s literally time. We wanted to create something both epic and intimate. It’s epic because it’s set over many, many years, and intimate because the film focuses essentially on just two people. We only see their lives when they’re together—we don’t see what happens when they’re apart. That was exciting for me because it makes the audience a detective. With every time jump, viewers have to wonder, *What have we missed? What’s happened in their lives?* I liked having the space and time to tell the story this way. Visually, it’s also big—the way Will shot it, the film starts in a cramped city but gradually becomes wider and more spacious, culminating in a huge empty space by the end. It was wonderful to explore that cinematically.

**Tyler Treese:** Imogen, you two have great chemistry. You capture so many different moments in this friendship and romance over a decade. What was the key to charting this journey and making the chemistry feel genuine and unique in each scene?
**Imogen Poots:** Honestly, we weren’t trying too hard to present or telegraph chemistry. We genuinely get along well, and as actors, we work in a very similar way. So, it all happened very naturally. Regarding the time jumps, it’s interesting because the characters mature—you’re seeing them over a couple of decades—but people don’t change that much. You might get a little more jaded or more open, but at your core, you’re still you. I think that’s beautiful—that there’s another person out there with whom you remain consistent in that way and feel magnetized to. It’s a cool idea.

**Tyler Treese:** Brett, last question. There’s a moment where you both play the Mario Kart arcade game. You were playing as Waluigi. Was that random, or are you a Waluigi guy? I’m a gamer, so I had to ask.
**Brett Goldstein:** That’s so funny. No, I would’ve made that decision—it wasn’t random. So, yeah, I guess I am a Waluigi guy.
**Imogen Poots:** Wow. Big reveal. I always play as Waluigi, so I’m thrilled to have one thing in common with you.
**Brett Goldstein:** And a beard.
**Imogen Poots:** Two things.
