Battlefield REDSEC crossplay – here’s how to turn off crossplay between PC and console platforms
**Battlefield REDSEC Crossplay: How It Works and How to Turn It Off**
Battlefield REDSEC’s crossplay feature is enabled by default, allowing console players and PC users to mix in matchmaking. While this helps expand the player pool and reduce wait times, some players prefer to stick to their own platform—especially since PC players can sometimes have an advantage in certain aspects of FPS games.
I’ve been playing Battlefield REDSEC since it launched alongside the Battlefield 6 Season One major update. It’s a brilliant battle royale mode that’s completely free to play. Although it’s still early days, I’m confident REDSEC will become one of our top crossplay games by the end of 2025.
If you’ve just downloaded Battlefield REDSEC, you might be wondering how crossplay and cross-platform progression work. You’ve come to the right place! Here’s everything you need to know about crossplay in Battlefield REDSEC, including how to enable or disable it and some key info about cross progression.

### How to Turn Off Battlefield REDSEC Crossplay Between PC and Console
If you prefer to only play with others on your own platform, turning off crossplay is simple on consoles. Just follow these in-game steps:
1. Head to **Settings**
2. Select **System**
3. Scroll down to **Setup**
4. Toggle **Crossplay** off
Leave this option enabled if you want to play with players across different platforms.

### How Does Crossplay Work in Battlefield REDSEC?
When crossplay is enabled, Battlefield REDSEC opens up matchmaking between PS5, Xbox, and PC players. Disabling it means you’ll only be matched with players on the same platform—so PS5 players will face only PS5 players, Xbox will face Xbox, and so on.
**Important note:** At the moment, PC players do **not** have the option to disable crossplay. According to DICE producer Alexia Christofi on X (formerly Twitter), when crossplay is turned on for consoles, the system prioritizes console-first matchmaking but will include other platforms if necessary to fill matches.

### Battlefield REDSEC PC Crossplay
Crossplay is always on for PC players by default, and there is currently no way to disable it. This means PC players will regularly encounter console players in matchmaking. Should this change in the future, we’ll be sure to update this information here.

### Battlefield REDSEC Cross Progression
[Note: You can add details about cross progression here once more information is available.]

**Summary:**
– Crossplay is on by default and enables PC and console players to play together.
– Console players can turn crossplay off to restrict matchmaking to their own platform.
– PC players cannot disable crossplay at this time.
– Matchmaking tries to prioritize console-only players when crossplay is enabled but will open up to other platforms if required.
