According to Polymarket data, traders assign a 6% probability to an official alien confirmation this year, compared to just 5% odds that Bitcoin will reach $200,000 before year-end. In other words, the market currently sees an alien sighting as slightly more plausible than Bitcoin doubling its price over the next ten weeks.

Bitcoin is currently trading near $108,000, just above its $104,000–$105,000 demand zone, after slipping below major exponential moving averages (EMAs) clustered around $113,700–$114,400. The recent breakdown from the $126,000 level earlier this month pushed the price below both its ascending trendline and long-term structural support. This leaves the chart vulnerable to a retest of the $96,000–$92,000 range.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) sits at 36, indicating mildly oversold conditions, but selling momentum remains intact. For bulls to regain near-term optimism, reclaiming the $113,000–$114,500 resistance zone is crucial.

On October 18, netflows recorded a $46.05 million outflow, smaller than the billion-dollar sell-off earlier in the week, according to Coinglass. This follows nearly $1.6 billion in cumulative outflows over five sessions—a sequence that has pressured Bitcoin into its current consolidation zone.

ETF volumes have cooled, and funding rates remain slightly negative, reinforcing defensive positioning across derivatives markets.
