Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Wednesday that the government would provide all possible assistance to farmers affected by the recent rains in the state.
Shinde was speaking to reporters after visiting flood-affected areas in the Dharashiv district of the Marathwada region, accompanied by Shiv Sena leader Tanaji Sawant, according to PTI. During the tour, Shinde interacted with farmers and people impacted by the floods.

Appealing for unity, the Deputy CM said, “Parties should not indulge in politics and instead come forward to help all those affected.”
According to officials, the Marathwada region recorded 823.8 mm of rainfall till Tuesday morning—28.5% more than the average expected downpour of 640.8 mm for this period.
