### Girari (Anuppur)
Located about 40 km from the district headquarters in Anuppur, Girari is a small town of great historical and archaeological importance.
In 1748, the area was granted to Hirarai by Mandla’s Gond king Shivraj Shah as a strategic move to protect his kingdom from Maratha invasions. The village is home to an incomplete temple constructed by Gond king Gaja Singh, scattered with ancient relics and sculptures.
Visitors can explore ornamental pillars, partially built architectural fragments of the temple, Amalaka (a stone disc), and other historic pieces scattered throughout the site. Additionally, wooden fossils discovered on the southern hill of the village are preserved in the Shahdol district museum, adding to the area’s archaeological value.

### Badshah Halwai ka Mandir (Jabalpur)
On the route to Gwari Ghat along the Narmada River from Jabalpur stands the unique Badshah Halwai ka Mandir.
Named after the halwai (sweet maker) who commissioned it, the temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and his consorts, Goddess Riddhi and Goddess Siddhi. For many years, this temple remained hidden in a jungle and was only rediscovered around 80 years ago.
A special highlight of this shrine is the Sri Yantra, a complex geometrical figure symbolizing the highest form of worship dedicated to the Divine Mother, making it a spiritual treasure.

### Rampayali Temple (Balaghat)
According to local lore, Lord Rama visited this site in the present Balaghat district during his 14 years of exile, giving the place its name—Ram Pavdali, meaning the place where Ram set his foot, or simply Rampayali.
The Shri Ram temple, believed to be constructed around 600 years ago by the Maratha Bhonsle as a fort on the riverbanks, stands as a significant historic monument.
Remarkably, the temple is designed so that the first ray of the sun falls directly on the feet of Lord Ram Balaji each day. Mentioned in ancient Indian history, the temple is surrounded by the serene Chandan River, enriching the natural charm of Rampayali town.
This destination is perfect for nature lovers and spiritual pilgrims alike, with its unique idols, temple lore, and tranquil landscapes providing a captivating experience.

Situated amidst the lush green Maikal mountain ranges of Satpura, Ramrama is an enchanting cluster of waterfalls located 40 kilometers from Balaghat and 20 kilometers from Waraseoni tehsil.
