**Mumbai: Jain Community to Organise Unique Fun Fair to Commemorate 2550th Nirvana Year of Lord Mahavir**
The Jain community is all set to organise a unique fun fair to commemorate the 2550th nirvana year of Lord Mahavir. Scheduled for October 2 in Chembur, the *Shasan Vibes Carnival* promises to attract children and youth with an array of engaging activities such as VR games, Shark Tank, theatre shows, Navkar puzzle, and more—all designed to educate participants about Jain religion and philosophy.
Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankar of the Jain religion, attained nirvana (liberation) at dawn on Amavasya of the Ashwin month in 527 BC at Pawapuri. To celebrate this significant milestone of the 2550th anniversary of Lord Mahavir overcoming the eight karmas and attaining nirvana, the Jain community is hosting this mega fun fair with a unique approach.
Inspired by Jain monk Mahayash Vijayji Maharaj, Shree Rishbdevji Jain Derasar, Sadharan Khata Trust, and Shree Chembur Jain Sangh have jointly organised the *Shasan Vibes Carnival*. The event is also supported by revered Jain saints Mahapadmasurishvarji Maharaj and Mahadharmasurishvarji Maharaj.
The carnival will feature 108 stalls showcasing practical Jain philosophy through various interactive platforms including theatre, selfie zones, magic shows, shopping areas, debates, model exhibitions, Shark Tank, and many other activities aimed at influencing young minds.
Targeted primarily at Jain children from different Jain pathshalas across Mumbai, the single-day carnival will be held at Shree Rushabhdevji Jain Derasar in Chembur Naka. In addition to educational and entertaining activities, children will also enjoy experiences such as tattoos, pottery, and a “shop of qualities” among other engaging setups.
Lalit Khicha, president of Shree Chembur Jain Sangh, shared, “This carnival aims to attract community members, especially children, towards the religion. Young minds will increase their awareness about Jainism and its principles while learning from the life of Bhagwan Mahavir. This is one of the best programmes organised for children, as they will feel proud of their religion by gaining knowledge through fun games and activities. The entire event is designed and moderated by our revered gurubhagwants.”
The *Shasan Vibes Carnival* is set to be a meaningful celebration blending education, culture, and entertainment, making it a landmark event for the Jain community in Mumbai.
