MLB approves ‘robot umpires’ for 2026 season

The league’s joint competition committee voted to approve the Automated Ball-Strike (ABS) Challenge System. This innovative system allows players to challenge human umpires’ ball and strike calls, aiming to improve the accuracy and fairness of the game.
