**Joshua’s Deep Nigerian Roots**
Anthony Joshua was born in the UK to British-Nigerian parents. His mother, Yeta Odusanya, is Nigerian, while his father, Robert Joshua, has Nigerian and Irish ancestry. Joshua’s family background can be traced specifically to the Yoruba people, among whom he holds an aristocratic rank.
The crash occurred near Sagamu in Ogun State, which is Joshua’s ancestral hometown. He spent part of his childhood living in Nigeria before returning to Watford, UK, after his parents divorced when he was 12.
