Little leads UCSB past Lehigh 72-70 in Vegas tourney

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Miro Little made two free throws with three seconds left and scored 20 points as UCSB edged Lehigh 72-70 on Friday to open the Resorts World Las Vegas Classic. Little also contributed three steals for the Gauchos (5-2).

Hosana Kitenge added 12 points, shooting 4 of 5 from the field and 4 of 6 from the free-throw line. Aidan Mahaney finished with 11 points on 5-of-13 shooting.

For the Mountain Hawks (2-6), Hank Alvey led the way with 22 points, six rebounds, and two blocks. Lehigh also received a strong performance from Nasir Whitlock, who recorded 21 points.

Up next, UCSB will face the winner of the Seattle-Texas State matchup on Saturday, while Lehigh will take on the loser.
