Video shows Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase spit on Jalen Ramsey before star DB’s ejection
It was a tough day for the Cincinnati Bengals, as the team fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers 34-12 in Week 11.
The game became heated between the two teams when defensive back Jalen Ramsey was ejected for punching wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. Ramsey claimed he punched Chase because the Bengals’ wideout had spat on him. However, Chase denied the accusation during the postgame press conference.
Since then, the situation has taken a significant turn. A video surfaced showing Chase very clearly spitting on Ramsey, according to Austin Briski of FOX19.
Shortly after the video’s release, it was announced that the NFL will be investigating the incident between Ja’Marr Chase and Jalen Ramsey. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that a final decision regarding the matter will likely be announced in the coming days.
An NFL spokesman confirmed, “The league will be reviewing the incident between Jalen Ramsey and Ja’Marr Chase.”
This story is currently developing, and more information will be published as it becomes available.
