Village of Plandome passes ‘false alarms’ fine law and advises residents on crime prevention
The Village of Plandome recently passed a new local law aimed at reducing false alarms among residents. Under this law, residents who trigger false smoke alarms that require fire department responses three times within a one-year period will be fined $100.
In addition to the new regulation, the village hosted a police-led seminar on crime prevention during a meeting held on Tuesday, November 10. This initiative reflects the community’s ongoing commitment to safety and awareness.
