Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Lead Gameplay Designer has jumped ship to CD Projekt RED
**Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Lead Joins CD Projekt RED to Work on The Witcher 4**
Warhorse Studios’ *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* has turned a lot of heads this year as an immersive medieval RPG, acclaimed for its compelling systems and engaging story. Now, one of its key developers is making waves by joining another major RPG project.
CD Projekt RED, currently developing its own highly anticipated medieval RPG, *The Witcher 4*, has just recruited Karel Kolmann, a former Lead Game Designer at Warhorse Studios, to join their team. Kolmann will take on the role of Senior Quest Designer at CD Projekt RED.
The news was first announced by Kolmann himself on social media. In a short but enthusiastic post, he shared, “I’m happy to share that I’ve joined CD Projekt RED.” His LinkedIn profile offers more details, confirming his position as Senior Quest Designer.
Kolmann’s track record at Warhorse Studios is impressive. Over his eight-year tenure, he contributed as a writer, quest designer, and game designer before eventually becoming the Lead Game Designer. He played a pivotal role in designing Kingdom Come 2’s Hardcore Mode and its law system, both standout features that have been praised by critics and fans.
Many of the strengths highlighted in *Guides Editor Sam Chandler’s review of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* can be traced back to systems and design choices Kolmann helped shape. With his move to CD Projekt RED, fans of both franchises are eager to see how his experience and vision will influence *The Witcher 4* as it moves through development.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting collaboration between two of the RPG genre’s most respected studios.
