T-Mobile has announced a significant leadership change with the appointment of Srini Gopalan, the company’s current Chief Operating Officer (COO), as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The transition will take effect from November 1, 2025. Gopalan will succeed Mike Sievert, who has been leading T-Mobile since April 2020 and will now shift to the role of vice chairman.

Beyond Deutsche Telekom, his career includes influential senior roles at Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, and Capital One. Born in India, Srini Gopalan pursued business administration at St. Stephen’s College in New Delhi. He further honed his expertise by earning an MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad.
