England pulls away late against Fiji for 9th straight win

LONDON (AP) — England secured their ninth consecutive Test victory by outlasting Fiji 38-18 at Twickenham on Saturday. The match was a thrilling back-and-forth contest, with England only pulling clear on the scoreboard after Henry Arundell’s try in the 69th minute.

Fiji was dealt a significant blow with two yellow cards, which England capitalized on by scoring tries shortly afterward to extend their lead. Additionally, Caleb Muntz’s failure to convert any of Fiji’s three tries allowed England to maintain breathing room throughout the game.

Despite the scoreline, Fiji’s combination of power and flair ensured that England never let their guard down against the Pacific islanders. England finished the match with six tries, marking their longest winning streak in eight years.
