**University of Iowa Student Arrested After Flipping Over TPUSA Promotional Table**

A 19-year-old University of Iowa student named Justin Pham Calhoon was caught on video flipping over a promotional table set up by the campus chapter of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), leading to his arrest.

Calhoon reportedly goes by the name “Niko” and uses she/her pronouns, according to journalist and editor of *The Post Millennial*, Andy Ngo, indicating that Calhoon identifies as a transgender woman.

The incident occurred on Thursday during a small TPUSA event called “Cocoa and Conservatives,” in which members offered free hot chocolate and distributed promotional materials, such as buttons, near the Tippie College of Business on T. Anne Cleary Walkway.

In the video, Calhoon can be seen declining the hot chocolate offer, saying “No thanks,” before abruptly flipping the table. Cups, buttons, and other items scattered onto the ground as Calhoon laughed and walked away.

TPUSA leaders reported that the all-women group handing out hot chocolate was “visibly shaken” by the incident, which ultimately disrupted and halted their event.

This was not an isolated incident. Court records revealed that Calhoon had allegedly engaged in similar behavior just over a week earlier, on October 27th, when they flipped a table at a Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) event.

University police issued an arrest warrant for the October 27th incident on November 3rd. Calhoon was arrested on November 5th in connection with both incidents.

According to Johnson County Jail court filings obtained by the *Iowa Pulse*, Calhoon now faces two misdemeanor cases in Johnson County, Iowa.

A second video from the October 27th incident has surfaced online. In this footage, Calhoon, wearing a black dress, approaches the YAF table and flips it over before raising a middle finger to the camera and walking away.

Calhoon faces multiple charges including two counts of Disorderly Conduct Disturbing a Lawful Assembly or Meeting, two counts of 3rd Degree Harassment, and one count of 5th Degree Criminal Mischief across both incidents.

Court documents indicate that Calhoon was released without bond and is under no-contact orders in both cases. Two non-jury trials are scheduled for March, according to the *Iowa Pulse*.

Andy Ngo shared on X: “A trans person named Justin Pham Calhoon flipped over a TPUSA table after being unable to control himself. Mainstream trans activists encouraged trans people & their allies to be violent to intimidate political opposition.”

Notably, TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on November 10th at another college campus while answering a question about transgender individuals who carry out mass shootings. The accused assassin, Tyler Robinson, previously had a transgender romantic partner.

Since Kirk’s murder, applications for new TPUSA chapters have surged nationwide. The organization reports that more than 120,000 students have inquired about starting chapters at high schools and colleges.
