Kim Kardashian Celebrates All Those Terrible Reviews of ‘All’s Fair’
The debut of Ryan Murphy’s latest show, *All’s Fair*, has been met with, let’s say, unfavorable reviews. In fact, the show shocked audiences by debuting with a whopping zero percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Even that might understate the level of critical disdain it initially received.
However, the negative attention doesn’t seem to be weighing on one of the show’s stars, Kim Kardashian. She has brushed off the bad reviews and embraced the so-bad-it’s-good potential of the glossy procedural centered on high-powered divorce lawyers. (Not that she needs to worry too much—the Tomatometer has since crept up to five percent rotten.)
On Instagram late Thursday (Nov. 6), Kardashian posted a massive photo dump with the caption: “Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year!?!?!? *All’s Fair* streaming now on @hulu and @disneyplus.” The post featured a variety of photos of Kardashian herself, Ryan Murphy, and her co-stars. It also included screen grabs of fan posts celebrating the show’s ineffable, irresistible, “I’ll still keep drinking that garbage” quality.
For example, one fan wrote:
“Some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen in my life alongside the most predictable storylines and the most ridiculous styling. I’m obsessed. I need 14 seasons.”
Another added:
“*All’s Fair* on Hulu dares to ask the question ‘Does a show need to be good?’ & the answer is no, it doesn’t. We have legendary actresses here giving the worst performances of their careers. It takes a special kind of talent to pull that kind of inability out of them.”
According to *The Hollywood Reporter*, Kardashian actually deleted an earlier version of the Instagram post but then put it back up. And in case you thought she might have second-guessed herself or felt embarrassed, the second post apparently featured even more memes than the original.
Of course, Kardashian got the last laugh. She ended her slideshow with a post noting that *All’s Fair* is currently one of the most-watched shows on Disney+ worldwide. Additionally, as of Nov. 7, it ranks as the Number Four show on Hulu in the United States.
The main cast of *All’s Fair*, alongside Kardashian, boasts impressive names such as Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts, Naomi Watts, Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka, and Glenn Close. Recurring performers include Judith Light, Ed O’Neill, and Hari Nef. Guest stars making appearances range from Grace Gummer and Kate Berlant to Jack Davenport, Rick Springfield, Jessica Simpson, Kevin Connolly, and more.
Despite the rocky start, *All’s Fair* is proving that even the most critically panned shows can find an eager audience—and maybe even a cult following.
