3 WWE stars seemingly unhappy with their booking
While some WWE stars are happy with being consistently featured on RAW or SmackDown, what happens during that time can be polarizing. If a star always loses, it reveals their spot in the hierarchy of performers. Performers like Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and others win most of their matches and are rarely pinned. Most stars don’t enjoy that treatment, which can often disappoint both wrestlers and their fans who are looking for a change.
The next three WWE stars are seemingly unhappy with their booking for different reasons.
### #3. Randy Orton is On and Off WWE Programming
Randy Orton is a 14-time Champion in WWE, but his best days appear to be behind him. This is a big reason why he is more of a part-time performer in 2025 rather than a full-time star like Cody Rhodes. Whether Orton is content with his current spot remains unclear, but he did receive a title shot against John Cena this year and made the finals of King of the Ring for the second consecutive year.
Orton’s wife, Kim, recently expressed her displeasure with his booking. She agreed with a social media post claiming that The Legend Killer has been excluded from big pay-per-views (PLEs) in 2025, highlighting a level of frustration with how Randy is being utilized.
### #2. Drew McIntyre Has Been Vocal on SmackDown
Drew McIntyre’s situation could be part of a storyline or a case of reality bleeding into his on-screen promos. It’s no secret that top athletes in any sports promotion often receive passes for missteps, while those lower on the totem pole do not.
This has been the core of McIntyre’s complaints during his feud with Cody Rhodes. While The Scottish Warrior has aired his grievances, Rhodes consistently brushes them off—even though McIntyre’s points may have merit. Adding to the tension, Rhodes has cheated several times to retain his title, yet WWE commentators praise him for doing “whatever it takes to win.” If McIntyre employed the same tactics, he would likely face heavy criticism.
Moreover, McIntyre’s repeated losses in title matches could be fueling his frustration with how he is booked.
### #1. LA Knight Keeps Falling Short
As Jey Uso rose in popularity on RAW, LA Knight was enjoying a similar trajectory on SmackDown. Both stars captured mid-card titles in WWE, but Jey Uso was pushed further—winning both the 2025 Royal Rumble and the World Heavyweight Championship.
Given the similar treatment early on, many expected The Megastar to have won a major title by now, but that hasn’t happened since his move to RAW. Despite not being pinned, Knight has repeatedly come up short in big matches. In contrast, The Yeet Master was pinned more than once in title opportunity matches but still challenged for the belt at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
In Knight’s last televised match, he fell cleanly to Bron Breakker. During his entrance, he held up a fan sign that read “We Want LA Knight, Not Jey,” and mouthed “Can’t argue with that” to the camera. While this was likely in character, some interpret it as a subtle expression of dissatisfaction with his current booking.

In summary, while being featured regularly on WWE programming is desirable, not all stars are happy with their positioning and treatment. Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, and LA Knight each face unique challenges and frustrations with how they are booked, making their futures in WWE intriguing to watch.
