Nelly Korda does a little catching up on ‘everyone’s life’ as she suffers from the flu
Last month, Nelly Korda secured an impressive fourth-place finish at the Lotte Championship, carding a total score of 14 under par at Hoakalei Golf Club. Since then, the Bradenton native has not participated in any competitions.
Amidst her temporary break from the LPGA Tour, Korda has remained committed to her fitness regime. The golfer has frequently shared post-training selfies from the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, showcasing her dedication to staying in shape. Recently, she even celebrated Halloween with a visit to the golf course, although her daily routine soon faced a slight setback.
Today, the former World Number 1 took to Instagram to share an update with her fans. She posted a story explaining how she had caught up on everyone’s lives through her Instagram feed. Additionally, Korda expressed her gratitude for the numerous “remedies” shared by her followers. According to her caption, she woke up feeling much better.
Nelly Korda wrote:
“I think I’ve caught up on everyone’s life today with all my Instagram refreshes. Thank you for all the remedies 🫶🏼🤞🏻 I wake up feeling better.”
For those unaware, Korda has been suffering from the flu since yesterday, which she likely contracted after Halloween. In a recent Instagram story, she asked her followers for home remedy suggestions to combat cold and flu symptoms. Accompanying a black-and-white snapshot of herself, the two-time major champion left a question box requesting solutions.
She asked:
“Favorite at-home remedies for a cold/flu? Send me all the things please 🙏🏻”
Though Korda has not publicly shared the responses she received, it appears that she found some helpful solutions for managing her fever.
Additionally, Korda’s Instagram stories revealed moments of her resting in bed, sharing selfies of herself bundled up in a hoodie. Yesterday, she posted another selfie with a question for her followers about the effectiveness of Epsom salt baths during illness.
She wrote:
“How beneficial are Epsom salt baths when you’re sick?”
Korda’s illness comes during her temporary break from the ongoing golf season, which was necessitated by an injury. Prior to the Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown, she announced her withdrawal and was replaced by Yealimi Noh.
Following the final day of the Lotte Championship, Korda briefly spoke with the press, revealing she felt physically worn out. She noted that some of her past injuries were still affecting her.
Despite these challenges, Nelly Korda’s commitment to recovery and her engagement with fans reflect her positive spirit as she aims to return stronger to the LPGA Tour.
